That is a wrap on Spark-Con, held October 10–11 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri.
What a great weekend it was. We had an amazing time meeting so many operators, talking with other amateur radio organizations, and sharing ideas about how we can all work together to strengthen and grow the hobby. This year's keynote, Amelia Rose Earhart, spoke about life's turbulence, and the turnout showed just how much potential there is in this event.
Backing the Mo-Kan Regional Council
We are especially excited to announce that the National Amateur Radio Alliance is supporting the Mo-Kan Regional Council of Amateur Radio Organizations and the outstanding work they are doing to promote amateur radio in their region. Together we will collaborate to strengthen local clubs, encourage on-the-air activity, and expand opportunities for education and community engagement.
Regional councils are exactly the structure NARA was built to support — see club councils and our regional structure.
We are also looking forward to working with Spark-Con to help make the event even bigger and better next year.
