Accessibility

Our commitment to a site everyone can use.

Last updated August 2026.

Amateur radio is for everyone, and so is this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and skip-to-content support.
  • Keyboard access to every interactive control, with visible focus styling.
  • Colour combinations checked for contrast, and information never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and forms with properly associated labels and error messages.
  • Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference.
  • Layouts that reflow to small screens and remain usable at 200% zoom.

Known limitations

The interactive club map relies on a third-party mapping component. Every club in the map is also listed in an accessible text results list with full contact details, and the club search works entirely without the map.
