NARA opens a community amateur radio wiki

A community-maintained reference library for amateur radio — licensing, regulations, operating, antennas and history — free to read and open to members to edit.

NARA has published an amateur radio wiki: a reference library covering licensing, FCC regulations, operating practice, antennas, digital modes, satellites, software and the history of the hobby.

Anyone can read it. NARA members can edit it, so the reference grows with the community rather than going stale the way a static page does. Every page keeps its full revision history, and articles carry footnoted citations to their sources — FCC rules, ITU material and the standard references — so a claim can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Recent additions include a page on what the FCC publishes about a licensee and a working reference to Part 97.

Read it at wiki.usnara.org. If you want to write for it, join NARA and start editing.
